Graduation Practice

Graduation Practice for students participating in the Division of Arts and Sciences, Division of Business and Technologies, or the Division of Health Sciences Ceremony will be at the following times:

Tuesday, April 30 at 11 a.m. Edwards Hall, 117
Tuesday April 30 at 6 p.m. Edwards Hall, 117
Wednesday May 1 at 2 p.m. Edwards Hall, 117

Practice will last about one hour. There will be food, door prizes, and helpful information for your graduation ceremony. Graduation candidates should plan to attend one practice.

Graduation Ceremony Response Forms

The Graduation Ceremony Response Form is required for all graduates who will be participating on one of 十大网赌软件推荐’s graduations ceremonies in May, 2024. The form must be submitted by Friday, April 26, 2024. Please feel out the form located at the link below.

Graduation Apparel

Graduation apparel can be purchased in the 十大网赌软件推荐 Bookstore during the spring 2024 semester.
Graduates are encouraged to purchase their regalia in person to ensure correct sizing.
Announcements and Diploma Frames are also available for purchase (see link to bookstore below).

Graduation Application Procedures

If you are planning to graduate in fall 2023, spring 2024, or summer 2024 then you need to complete a graduation application for each degree, diploma, certificate, or career studies certificate you are receiving.

The deadline for submitting graduation applications is Friday, November 10, 2023. Submission of late graduation applications may delay certification until the next semester.

Students are encouraged to meet with their faculty or student services advisor for review and signature before turning in the completed application to the admissions and records office, Christiansburg site front desk or by email: admissions@atlas-japantour.com.

Graduation Requirements

All graduates must have a GPA of 2.00 in all studies attempted which are applicable toward graduation.

In awarding students an additional degree, diploma, certificate, or career studies certificate, the college may grant credit for all completed applicable courses which are requirements of the additional degree, diploma, certificate, or career studies certificate. However, the awards must differ from one another by at least 25% of the credits.

Course substitutions cannot exceed 10% of the total credits of the program.

At least 25% of the credits must be acquired at the college awarding the degree.

Graduates are eligible for honors (with the exception of career studies certificates) if their cumulative GPA is:

  1. 3.200-3.499 Cum Laude.
  2. 3.500-3.799 Magna Cum Laude.
  3. 3.800-4.000 Summa Cum Laude.
